Genesis Chapter 48: Jacob Blesses Joseph's Sons
In Genesis chapter 48, Jacob, also known as Israel, is nearing the end of his life and wishes to bless Joseph's two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh. Joseph brings his sons to Jacob, who adopts them as his own, giving them a special blessing. Despite Joseph's attempt to position his sons for the blessing according to their birth order, Jacob intentionally blesses Ephraim, the younger son, with the greater blessing.
